	Teens "Jonathan was about 15 years old when we first began going to Orthodontic Associates. It has been a very good experience. The thing I like most is their excellent patient and parent communications. They also have a very kid-friendly office and we were always in and out in a very timely fashion. 	Braces and Surgery "I had braces when I was younger but as I grew older I relapsed due to my bone structure. I was also bad about wearing my retainer. My Mom works for Dr. Brown and was always trying to get me to come in for an appointment. I kept putting it off until my senior year in college. Dr. Brown examined me and said he could straighten my teeth, but what I really needed was surgery along with braces to fix my open bite and narrow palate. I thought, 'This is great!!' Throughout my life it was always difficult for me to close my mouth and as a child my classmates would tease me because my mouth was always open. When you hear the word 'surgery' you think it’s going to be horrible. For me, it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.
