Jonathan
Jonathan was 13 years old when he became a patient of Dr. Brown's. Jonathan was missing a permanent tooth in the very front called a lateral incisor. This tooth never formed.
To treat Jonathan and give him the best possible smile Dr. Brown opened space for the missing tooth with braces. There was an artificial tooth placed in his braces to hold the space as well as helping the look of Jonathan's smile. When Jonathan's orthodontic treatment was finished Dr. Brown made him a retainer that included a false tooth until a permanent solution such as a bridge or implant could be placed in the space. You can see in the before and after pictures how it looks with the retainer. You can hardly tell!
There are many patients that are missing permanent teeth. Just remember, there is a solution if you have that problem.
