Dr. Brown
I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and completed my specialty
training in orthodontics at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and have also served
on the faculty at the dental schools of the University of North Carolina, University of
Kentucky, University of Louisville, and Harvard University. I am a member of the American
Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, North Carolina Association of
Orthodontists, and American Association of Orthodontists.
I have a select, highly-trained and motivated group of staff members that help me provide
services for my patients. We believe firmly in continuing education for doctor and staff
which enables us to give the highest level of professional orthodontic care.

Before coming to work for Dr. Brown in 1998 my experience had always been in the medical field. While I enjoyed medical, orthodontics is so much more rewarding. I love watching our younger patients grow and mature and have formed friendships with many of our parents and adult patients as well. We all are truly like a large extended family. In this family I include my co-workers. Most of us have worked together for 5 plus years and can frequently read each others mind which makes working as a team almost effortless. I work the front desk with Sherry answering the phones and making appointments. I am also responsible for accounts receivables and pay the bills for Dr. Brown.
I have two girls ages 10 and 13 who are both in treatment with Dr. Brown. They too soon will have the beautiful smiles that he is famous for. In my free time I like to read, garden and cook.

My career started when a friend of mine helped me get a job as a receptionist in a dental office with an orthodontic department. About 10 months later I transferred to the Orthodontic department and began my training. I have been an Orthodontic Assistant since January 2000.
This is a very rewarding career. We see people of all ages who all have one thing in common: They don’t like to smile. I love being one of the few people involved in helping them to change. Our patients leave here a different person. Some we’ve seen grow up along with their families. Others have better self-esteem and their whole personality is different. No matter what the age or who they are, everyone leaves here with a fantastic smile.
I am single but I am dating someone special. We grew up together and have known each other for about 14 years. In my spare time I’m usually shooting pool either practicing or playing league.

I began working in Orthodontics in 1992 in Hurricane, W. Va. I trained under the orthodontist who was treating my son at the time. I continued working there for six years. As my husband’s job transferred him to different cities, I have worked for several Orthodontists in the West Virginia and Virgina area for a total of 13 years. I also have an Associate Degree in Nursing.
After moving into the Huntersville area, I began working for Dr. Brown in September 2005. Dr. Brown and the staff are a wonderful group of people to work with. It is very rewarding to see a patient start treatment, watch their progress and finish with a beautiful smile.
I have been married since 1979 to my high school sweetheart. He is the manager of the Bed, Bath and Beyond in Pineville. My son Michael lives in Richmond, VA and is an electrician apprentice. My daughter Bethany majored in photography in college at WVU. and now works for Windstream. She has a son Josiah, our first grandchild and is an amazing blessing to us. My daughter Hannah is a server at a local restaurant and plans to continue college.

I joined Dr. Brown’s team in July of 1999. As Dr. Brown’s clinical coordinator I have seen many patients come and go.
It’s hard to say goodbye when treatment is complete because they have become part of the family. It is very satisfying to
me, to see the hard work that went into their beautiful smiles. All patients are special to me whether they are children,
adults, parents or grandparents. Part of our family has also included 2 area general dentists who had treatment with Dr. Brown.
I am married and have 4 children. Two of my children have graduated from UNCC and two are currently attending UNCC.

I have been in the orthodontic field for over 25 years. I am Dr. Brown’s Treatment Coordinator
and have worked for him for 10 years. I love orthodontics, working with the patients, watching
their smiles get bigger and better each time they come to their appointment. It is a very
rewarding job.
I am married to Bill. We have 1 grandson, Jake, two dogs; Maggie and Lynnie B,
two cats; Daisy and Camillia. We enjoy Nascar racing, working in our yard and spoiling our
grandson!

I have been involved in orthodontics since 1992 when an Orthodontist in Leavenworth, Kansas took a chance and hired
an assistant with no experience. My husband’s military career brought me to Huntersville in August 1995 and I started
working for Dr. Brown in September 1995. I started as a clinical assistant and took over the lab in 1998. My job is
to create those much needed appliances and retainers that our patients love to wear. I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Audiology & Speech Pathology.
My husband has since retired from the Army and started a second career. I have two children. My daughter is a graduate
of the University of Tennessee and my son is a graduate of UNCC. My children and I have all had treatment with Dr. Brown.

My prior dental experience has been in different types of dentistry as well as orthodontics.
I have been an orthodontic assistant for 15 years. When I began in orthodontics I really felt
as though I had found my dental career destiny. I feel fortunate to be able to go to work and
enjoy what I do. I have worked for Dr. Brown for 3 years as an Orthodontic Technician and
enjoy helping give our patients healthy, happy smiles in a friendly, caring atmosphere.
I am married to Steve who is a carpenter. I have three daughters. My oldest daughter is a high school graduate
